DESCRIPTION
PHARMAVAC PHA is an inactivated trivalent oil-emulsion vaccine for the active immunization of pigeons against three major viral pathogens: paramyxovirus type 1 (PPMV-1), pigeon herpesvirus 1 (PHV-1), and fowl adenovirus type 8 (FAdV-8) .
Pigeon Paramyxovirus Type 1 (PPMV-1) is an antigenic and host variant of the Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV) that causes severe neurological signs, diarrhea, and high mortality in pigeons
Pigeon Herpesvirus 1 (PHV-1) causes respiratory distress, conjunctivitis, and immunosuppression, predisposing birds to secondary infections
Fowl Adenovirus Type 8 (FAdV-8) has been increasingly recognized as a significant pathogen in pigeons, associated with inclusion body hepatitis and other systemic diseases . This trivalent vaccine provides comprehensive protection against these three important viral diseases affecting pigeon health and performance .
INDICATIONS
PHARMAVAC PHA is indicated for the active immunization of pigeons to:
- Reduce mortality and clinical signs associated with paramyxovirus type 1 (PPMV-1) infection
- Reduce mortality, clinical signs, and virus shedding associated with pigeon herpesvirus 1 (PHV-1) infection
- Reduce clinical signs and mortality associated with fowl adenovirus type 8 (FAdV-8) infection
