QASTOX PLATINUM
Product Name: QASTOX PLATINUM
Type: Yeast-Based Toxin Binder (Feed Additive Powder)
COMPOSITION
DESCRIPTION
QASTOX PLATINUM is a next-generation yeast-based mycotoxin binder that combines the broad-spectrum adsorption capabilities of clay minerals with the specific binding properties of yeast cell wall components, enhanced by artichoke extract for liver support. This multi-component formulation is designed to address the complex challenge of multi-mycotoxin contamination in animal feed
Mannan-Oligosaccharides (MOS): MOS are derived from the cell wall of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast. The yeast cell wall is rich in mannoproteins, β-glucans, and chitin, with β-glucans accounting for roughly 30% of the dry weight
Research has demonstrated that glucomannan binds aflatoxin (AF) at high rates of 85-96% . However, its binding capacity for deoxynivalenol (DON) ranges from 31-56% and for ochratoxin (OTA) from 54-55% . MOS also binds other mycotoxins such as zearalenone, fumonisins, and T-2 toxin at rates of 25-43%
Bentonite-Montmorillonite: These aluminosilicate clays are highly effective at binding polar mycotoxins, particularly aflatoxins. Studies have shown that bentonite binds aflatoxin at rates of 88-95% and DON at 23-73%, while montmorillonite binds AF at 74-80% and DON at 46-68%
Synergistic Combination: The combination of clays with glucomannan has been shown to significantly increase binding efficacy against certain mycotoxins. Research indicates that when glucomannan is added to clay combinations, the resulting product demonstrates enhanced ability to bind ochratoxin (OTA), fumonisin (FUM), and T-2 toxin by approximately 15-20% compared to clay alone . Similarly, such combinations provide >10% greater adsorption of aflatoxin, 20% greater adsorption of OTA and FUM, and 5% greater adsorption of T-2 toxin compared to some commercial products
Artichoke Extract: Artichoke (Cynara scolymus) leaves supply cynarin, phenolic acids, and flavonoids with hepatoprotective (liver-protecting), anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties
When used alongside adsorbents, artichoke extract supports liver detoxification pathways and helps counter the oxidative stress triggered by mycotoxin exposure . This is particularly important because mycotoxins like aflatoxins primarily target the liver, causing hepatocellular damage and impairing metabolic function
INDICATIONS
QASTOX PLATINUM is indicated for the prevention and management of mycotoxicosis in livestock and poultry, specifically targeting:
EFFICACY DATA

|---|---|---|---|
| Aflatoxin (AF) | 88-95% | 85-96% | >10% increase |
| Ochratoxin A (OTA) | 54-56% | 54-55% | 15-20% increase |
| Fumonisin (FUM) | 25-45% | 25-43% | 15-20% increase |
| T-2 Toxin | 25-45% | 25-43% | ~20% increase |
| Deoxynivalenol (DON) | 23-73% | 31-56% | Medium rate binding |
