DESCRIPTION

VASPRO-100 is a high-performance organic trace mineral premix formulated with glycine-chelated minerals and selenium yeast. Organic trace minerals (OTMs) offer significantly higher bioavailability compared to conventional inorganic sources such as sulfates or oxides, as the mineral is protected from antagonistic interactions in the gastrointestinal tract, ensuring more efficient absorption and utilization

What Are Organic Trace Minerals? Organic trace elements, sometimes called "protected" or "chelated" trace elements, are minerals that have been bonded to a chelating agent such as amino acids (e.g., glycine), hydrolyzed proteins, or yeast derivatives

Glycine, the simplest and smallest amino acid, is an ideal ligand for chelation. Its low molecular weight (<300 daltons) and high stability constant result in excellent bioavailability

Why Organic Forms? Inorganic trace minerals (sulfates, oxides) can be susceptible to interactions with antagonists such as sulfur, iron, and molybdenum present in forages. For example, molybdenum can combine with copper and sulfur to form thiomolybdates, locking up the copper and making it unavailable for absorption

In contrast, organic trace minerals are protected from these undesirable interactions. The chelated structure ensures the mineral reaches the small intestine intact, where it is absorbed via specific amino acid transport pathways rather than competitive mineral absorption routes

Selenium Yeast: The selenium in VASPRO-100 is provided as selenium-enriched yeast, an organic form where selenium is incorporated into amino acids (primarily selenomethionine). This form is more bioavailable and has longer tissue retention compared to inorganic sodium selenite

EFFICACY & RESEARCH
