DESCRIPTION
Fosfomycin is an antibiotic produced by Streptomyces fradiae and classified under the Phosphonic Acids group of organic antibiotics. It has a broad spectrum antimicrobial activity and acts as a bactericidal agent against most aerobic Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria such as E. coli, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus, Salmonella, Pseudomonas, etc. Fosfomycin has a unique mechanism of action in which it irreversibly inhibits an early stage of bacterial cell wall biosynthesis.
Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic with bacteriostatic action, interfering with protein synthesis and inhibiting the transpeptidation and translocation process in the bacterial cell. Tylosin is active against Mycoplasma, Gram-positive bacteria, and cocci. It has a synergistic effect with Fosfomycin, improving the therapeutic effect of the product.
Fructose is an auxiliary energy source that helps animals recuperate from disease, helping them to continue eating while recovering. It acts as a vehicle for the transport of the active ingredients, allowing the antibiotic to enter the bacterial cell and reach the target area more quickly.
Electrolytes play an important role in the rehydration process of sick birds, especially for day-old chicks arriving from the hatchery due to changes in humidity.
